BRITISH SEA POWER are returning to The Sugarmill on Friday 17th June.
The Brighton-based six-piece band variously originate from Cumbria, Yorkshire, Ealing and Shropshire.
They released their self-titled debut in 2003, and took the indie world by storm.
A recent poll of BBC 6Music listeners – on the most important hundred tracks of the station’s lifetime – placed the British Sea Power track Remember Me at number nine, just above Radiohead, just below Johnny Cash. It’s a placing that indicates both the band’s longevity and the deeply dedicated nature of their audience.
Their last album, released in 2015, was ‘Sea of Brass’, which was a selection of songs from other releases, re-done with brass bands accompanying them.
Tickets for this show go on-sale Friday 15th April at 9am.
